Episode 30

#30: Navigating Change

In this episode I dive into 5 ways that can help you navigate change with more resilience and less overwhelm. Reflecting on my past year of personal transformation, I share insights and practical advice for anyone facing significant shifts in their lives. From leaving a secure corporate job to becoming an entrepreneur, to relocating to Southern France, my journey (and how I think about it),  illustrates the benefits of changing with intention and desire.

The episode covers these 5 topics:

  • The importance of making decisions out of genuine desire rather than obligation or “should”.
  • Acknowledging the presence of fear, how to think about and manage it. Yes, discomfort is part of the process.
  • Trusting yourself and the process of change, and how to keep moving forward even when things are not linear.
  • The importance of building a support system and practicing thoughts and beliefs that will help you sustain momentum and overcome obstacles.
  • My personal thoughts that help me navigate along the way.

Karen Gombault

I’m Karen, and I know firsthand the challenges of balancing a passionate career with personal health.

As a former CEO with 30 years in corporate leadership, I’ve lived the pressures of work, travel, raising a family and emotional eating.

For years, I tried every diet, counting calories and macros, even training for marathons, but nothing worked long-term.

It wasn’t until I focused on how I thought about myself and my weight that I finally lost the last 10 pounds and have kept it off over 7 years.

Now, as a coach and mentor, I help ambitious women think differently and lose weight permanently.
